So my mil hasn't spoken to my husband and I for years unless someone in the family dies, then she calls everyday for about a week and then disappears again. She appears to not have been interested in a relationship with us for all these years. Well, my husband called to tell her that we are pregnant and now she calls everyday and has mentioned that she is saving money to come visit us. We live 12 hours away so that would mean 4-5 night visitation. This new turn of events has really bothered me because like I said before she has had no interest in a relationship with us, but now that we are having her first grandchild she wants to be all up in the mix. Should I just suck it up and be grateful that she is talking to my husband (she has not spoken to me or asked about me), but only to my husband or am I right to be hurt/upset that she now wants in?? I'm hormonal and confused. Advice please.
