So, first off I’m over weight, I weigh 311 & I’ve never had regular periods for the past few months they’ve been some what regular tho like July 7 days then August no period, then September 7 days same as July on the dot. I’ve been to the doctor recently and was told I have a dermoid cyst, on my ovary, they want me back in December to see if it’s grown any or if it’s the same or gone away. But me and my boyfriend have currently been trying to conceive for about 2 years now, & nothing.. I was prescribed metformin start taking it tomorrow, but I was also told the dermoid cyst doesn’t affect fertility. I need some opinions and maybe some answers to a couple questions.

1) what do you think could be causing irregular periods?

2) do you think my boyfriend should go get checked out himself?

3) do you think being over weight has ALOT to do with why we haven’t conceived?

4) do you all think metformin will help?
