Mom and dad

I don't know why so many people have to insist that our baby has a dad. We are two moms and a donor helped us to become parents. A donor, not a dad to our child. We get told that two moms can't make a child, the child has to have a dad too. Otherwise, he wouldn't exist (our son).

I feel like being called "mom" or "dad" is a title that has to be earned. A mom or dad are supposed to love their children, take care of them and raise them to be good their own person.

A person who ejaculates into a cup or randomly seeds women during one-night stands aren't automatically called a dad to whatever offspring arrive. A woman who gives up her baby so that the baby can have a better life isn't a mom to that baby anymore.

I just needed to rant a little.
