Ultrasound third trimester?

Do they do an ultrasound in the third trimester to check baby's position?

Depends on your doctor, mine will only do it if she suspects baby is in a bad position. She mentioned at my 35 week appointment that baby may be breech, so I suspect I'll have an u/s if the heartbeat is still high at my next appointment.

I haven't had one since 32 weeks and that was an elective 3d/4d. Now 38+6 and we would of only had another if my dr thought baby was getting too big. She guessed baby is about 7.5 lbs by external palpitation

Mine is doing one at 36 weeks check position. It's not a formal US, just a quick check.

I talked my ob into it because I was measuring behind and come to find out it was just his position :)

If you ask your OB, they should allow it :). I asked my OB to call and request one at the hopsital since LO has been breech and I just got one Friday (34w)

A lot depends on what your insurance will cover, but lots don't.
