Baby eczema/dry scalp
Desperate for some advice! So my 3 month old had baby acne and slight cradle cap since he was a few weeks old. The baby acne got so bad it looked like he was a burn victim on his cheeks and few weeks later it kind of went away. Cradle cap was mostly on his eyebrows and some small patches on his head. Doc just told us to leave it alone and it will go away. It would get worse then get slightly better and the summer heat didnt help. Thought we were getting to a sweet spot with just slightly dry/flushed skin then literally one morning he woke up and had this basically a red helmet of dry, blotchy, patchy acne/cradle cap situation. At this time we had gone back to our family doc and right away he said it is eczema and prescribed us 1% hydrocortisone. I applied in on him twice within 24hours it all disappeared! And the next day he was fine just some dry and slightly red patches. The following night we gave him a bath and lotioned him up good. The next morning his entire scalp is super dry and flaky. Part of his scalp had that cradle cap reappear and his forehead had small acne/eczema like patches. What is the killer is now he is scratching his head nonstop. I'm applying the cortisone cream again but he is scratching and worse sucking his fingers after. I'm at my wits end with all this skin issue. Please let me know if you have any advice!! I'm using Johnson shampoo and body wash, cetaphil baby lotion on his body and glaxal base on his face. Do any of you use moisturizer on their scalp? Humidifier?? Optimal room temp? 😫😫😫😫
