Large handbag as nappy bag?

Would it be silly to use just a normal big handbag as a nappy bag? All the nappy bags ive seen are way too expensive and the cheaper ones I don't like the look of. Anyone else just use a handbag?

Absolutely not! Use what works for you. If it gets the job done, go for it. I'll probably do the same.

This is what I'm going to do. I don't see the point in buying overly expensive diaper bags or designer ones. When my mom was pregnant I always remember her just using a cute big bag for my siblings.

I use a regular old Chanel (large) bag with a custom-made insert that fits it perfectly and has pockets for everything that also protects the silk lining. Here's the bag and here's the insert (sorta dirty) that was made by a store on Etsy called Divide & Conquer. I had two gorgeous Petunia Picklebottom bags that were really nice, but I still prefer this setup.

I am doing a large handbag this time around. All larger handbags I like are cheaper and way cuter than the nappy bags I've seen. I found some perfect ones at Target.

Nope perfect Idea. i did this on my son. I had a diaper bag and was a pain with my handbag too. And I usually had a small one. If your worried about organisation, spills. You can get something like this off ebay

Look for one that has separate compartments. It's easier if you can separate nappies and snacks.

I was thinking the same thing...I registered for a diaper bag but if no one gets it for me I may just use one of my big organizer totes. They have all kinds of pockets and storage areas and are the same type of fabric as gym/duffle bags so I don't think spills would damage them very much. You could always get a small insulated lunch bag to use for bottles!

I remember getting one with my first and never really using it. I am 6ft so I always have big hand bags. The things you need on the go are. A set of clothes and plastic bag for dirthy clothes that fell victim to explosive nappies/ vomiting. Wet wipes, nappies, disposable change mat, cream, stuff for feeding. You can get nappy/ wet wipe organiser that keep them tidy in your handbag. The key is to not take to much. Think how long you go where and what you will need so you don't have to take 10 nappies on a 3 hour trip. On long days out I took a little back pack with us. On trips with a stroller I had a tote with the essentials in the basket.

I'm going to use a big tote back. You know they sell these insert things that have different sections and you can basically slip them into any large tote bag to turn it into a diaper bag
