Expiration date of the pill

Hi everybody! I have a question... I just realized that I'm taking a pill that's already expire two moths ago! Anyone know if the pill loses its effectiveness so quick!? I take pill since 10years ago and this is the first time that I realize about the expiration date... 😬. Thanks in advance for your answers and advices!
