Brushing teeth?

Have you all started brushing your toddler teeth morning and at night ? My toddler hates to brush so we have been struggling.. help mama out any ideas how to make this easy???

Yes she has been to the dentist twice for check ups and they say it is very important to brush at least one a day with a rice size amount of fluoride toothpaste. My daughter and I brush every night since she first got teeth, she used to hate it and scream the whole time. I count down slowly from ten and that’s just how long I do it no matter what. Now she doesnt mind at all. Just lays on the couch with her mouth open and waits until I get to zero :) she knows what to expect; if you keep a routine, they get there.

We TRY morning and night. We brush our teeth together. Some days she will let me brush them, other days she will just suck on the toothbrush and ask for more toothpaste  🤦🏻‍♀️

I pretty much hold her the same way I do when she gets vaccinated. on off her arms behind me and I hold her other arm down and then layer across my lap. She hates it but her crying gives me access to brush all her teeth. I showed our dentist my technique and she told me she did the same thing. She reminded me that she's not crying because she's hurt. After I let her go I let her stand on the counter so she can look in the mirror and she tries to brush her teeth herself... then it's a new fight to her the toothbrush put away

W have a step stool at the bathroom sink.He climbs up and we brush while he watches in the mirror. We tell him to say ahhh and cheese during, then give him the tooth brush to practice when we think he is clean.Last month we started practicing rinsing by having a sip of water after even tho he swallows lol.He brushes after breakfast in the morning (which is usually when he does a poo so we change nappy then go to bathroom and wash hands,face and teeth) and he brushes after his bottle at night (so bath,pyjamas,bottle, teeth brushing then good night hugs and kisses then dummy and bed ).Some nights he fusses and fights from tiredness.We started brushing at maybe 10 months because he had alot ofteeth by then

Reading the comments I must of got lucky but my twins watch there older brothers do it so they love it. I sit down on the toilet and say let me see your teeth and they open up big for them then brush there own teeth.

We try at night, with more success some night than others. I've started doing it after dinner while he is still in his highchair so he can't run away from me. We sing the Raffi "Brush your Teeth" song. I also let him pretend to brush mine as well. Our pediatrician said to try our best but that going to the dentist before age 3 is a waste because they dont really do anything and brushing at home is the best thing to do. I know my friends and family who have taken there little ones in before age 3 say the same thing, the dentist basically just shows them everything but doesn't actually clean or do anything else. The pediatric dentist we took our son to for a lip tie at 7 days of age told us the same thing.

mine is not a big fan of it..so I made up a song for the teeth taking a shower lol at least she let me brush her teeth and I have a happy baby after  😂😂
