Lower Heart rate at 20 weeks?

So went to my OB today and they did the Doppler. Her heart rate was 125. I'm 20 weeks 2 days. Every other time it's been in the 160's. Even 2 weeks ago at my last appointment. So I was super concerned. My OB wasn't but that's such a drastic change. I have an ultrasound next week but I'm so scared that it will be to late. I did have an approved allergy pill this morning could that have done it? Since it made me drowsy?!Makes me scared to ever take meds again, ha. I have an anterior placenta so I haven't felt her yet which makes it harder to know if she's okay. Anyone else have a heart rate change like that and everything was okay?

Eh, it’s really nothing to stress about. Sometimes we catch baby at a moment where they’re super chill, sometimes when they get excited. Plus, as babies gestate longer their heart rate can slow down. If your doctor isn’t worried I wouldn’t be either. 125 is still within a healthy range!

My midwife has also informed me that it’s normal for it to be high in the 160’s when in the early stages of pregnancy. When the baby is growing and getting bigger in the later stages, their heartbeats do tend to lower.

Babies are like us, when active her heart rate will increase and when resting it will go down.  I wouldn’t worry. She was probably resting.
