Conceiving after miscarriage

How long did it take you all to get pregnant again? I miscarried 24 July at 5 weeks, we already have a 3 year old daughter so I want to give her a sibling so we've decided to try again straight away. The attached picture is my ovulation test I took around 10 minutes ago.

We did to a baby dance last night no protection and I've seen the test today.

Just wondering is it possible to conceive so quickly after M/C and is it dangerous my doctor said I should have a period first?!
