How can I get my man to be more affectionate?

I love him with all my heart but sometimes I crave some more affection from him without asking such as rubbing my back, random kisses (without me initiating), flowers, making food, etc. 
He’s the best boyfriend I’ve ever had and we have a great relationship but sometimes lack of affection makes me feel unappreciated.

You have to let him know how you feel at the same time and basically giving him praise for what he does do.when I read the book the five languages of love, it changed my life because it made me realize how people show love differently and how people receive love differently ,and those things have to come together for each person to get what they want I definitely recommend the book to you.for example, I am a Time person, timing's everything to me, if I were dating a man who thought showing love was by giving gifts, and all he did was give me gifts, but never saw me regularly, I would not feel loved, it's that type of concept.
