Today my son is 20 weeks which is technically 5 months but the date of  5 months isn't until the 23rd (2 more weeks).

Go by date, just like a regular birthday. So he will be 5 months on the 23rd. If it was by weeks, he would be 12 months before his first birthday.

20 weeks isn’t 5 months. 20 weeks is 4.603 months. There are 7 days in a week,  28 days in 4 weeks. There’s only one month a year with 28 days.

My son was born on March 28th so when he was 8 weeks he wasn’t 2 months until a week later . Same for 12w , 16w etc . Go by the day of the month they were born
