Keto during pregnancy?

I went and saw my OB today and we talked about maintaining a healthy weight during pregnancy and she suggested that I do a moderated keto diet. 
Have any of y’all tried doing keto while you were pregnant? How did it work for you? I’m just curious.

You need to modify your keto diet to include 50g of carbs per dat in order to be safe for your growing baby.

My OB was also ok with me following a ketogenic diet while pregnant to control my weight. I’m already obese and now I’m pregnant with twins. Ideally my doctor would like me to not gain any weight. The biggest concern with a ketogenic diet is growth restriction, but my OB doesn’t think it will be an issue.

I’m currently doing keto/low carb! I did keto for an entire year and dropped from a size 14 in jeans to a 7/8 and a size XL in tops to a Medium. I seriously think that’s why I got pregnant so quickly. I tried eating regular foods and sugars at the beginning of my pregnancy and I started to feel horrible! I quickly switched back. I feel amazing, have more energy, and feel normal. I eliminated all sugars except Monk Fruit and Stevia and do whole grains here and there!

This was me before I started low carb then keto. The one on the right was right before I got pregnant in August. I did a full blood work and physical in May and everything was perfect and I was no longer obese.

Going to follow. Gestational Diabetes and almost any carbs spike my blood. I feel like I’m doing Keto. Lol

I just asked my doctor about this and he told me I should not do it!!! Before finding out I was pregnant my plan for September was to keto and well that got changed but i still want to lose weight and he told me I had to wait:( I am going to follow this I am curious whatever one else is doing(i may end up doing it anyways)
