Egg Retrieval and D&C- confusion?!

Today I had my egg retrieval and they got 12 eggs 🥚😬🙏🏻 
They did a D&C whilst they were there. Doctor said this would be good to help implantation in preparation for a FET. 
Anyone had experience of this? If so did it help? 
I though D&C was done after a m/c?

You didn't ask?????? Maybe scar tissue was built up? Don't leave a Drs visit with unanswered questions, especially important ones like that.

I overstimulated with my egg retrieval so they did an endometrial scratch which they explained to me is similar to a D&C (which afterwards I said no way) but it was very helpful as it helps provide a “stickier” atmosphere for your frozen embryo transfer

I’m thinking maybe you just had a scratch done. I’ve had them done before transfers to prep lining. You should definitely ask and find out exactly what you had done.

Thanks for your comments. It said on my admission papers egg collection and D&C. I’ll ask my FS on Monday. Perhaps it was just a scratch. I’ve never conceived before...

A D&C wouldn’t make sense bc then you would have to wait approximately three months for your transfer because it completely removes the lining of the uterus. Agree with above, are you sure it wasn’t a scratch? Or perhaps there was scarring or if you had previous m/c? It certainly isn’t routine procedure.
