Is my app wrong?

Fairly new to this so not sure but I think I got my surge (due to CM) a few days before predicted... Can I go solely of my CM? Helppppp 😊

Ewcm is caused by estrogen. Estrogen spikes before LH (which triggers ovulation). So if you see ewcm, have sex. That being said, don’t be surprised if you get more ewcm after you think you’ve ovulated. You can have a secondary estrogen surge happen in the luteal phase (time after ovulation) which causes ewcm, or you could’ve failed to ovulate the first time and your body is trying again. 
Cm is not the most accurate way to determine ovulation (opks and bbt are) but it’s better than relying on an app. 
Long story short- see ewcm, have sex!
