How do you keep pets away from the Christmas tree?

I know this is really early, I have just been thinking about it lately. For 3 years, my dog and cat left the tree alone, but last year my cat would not stop climbing it and my dog would not stop peeing on it. We got a second dog earlier this year and she gets into everything. I am trying to come up with ways I can still set up my tree this year, but keep all of them from tearing it up. I love setting up my tree and go all out with it, but I'm thinking I might have to do without it this year 😔
