Update- spinal fluid just came back positive for viral meningitis. We don’t have the full cultures back yet so they decided to be safe and keep the antibiotics running until all cultures are back tomorrow evening. I went back to the. Doctors today and my headache is caused by mastitis.

Arius is two weeks old today. Yesterday he he got a 102 fever so I took him into the clinic. They ran labs and did a chest X-ray which didn’t show anything to exciting. They had me come back this morning and he still has a temp is fussier and not eating well at all. Our doctor called the nicu to ask what to do and the nicu said they wanted him admitted and we had 30 mins to pack and leave or they were sending an ambulance. The nicu is 2 hours away from home so we hustled and hit the road. Upon arrival the doctor said she was extremely concerned and wanted to do a spinal tap, more labs, a urine culture, and Iv antibiotics. They just finished doing all that but it will take two days to get most the results 😢 his kidney function lab just came back pretty bad.

To top it off I have the worst headache I have ever had like drop me to my knees in tears bad. The doctor gave me a shot for pain but it didn’t help much 😢 I’m popping Tylenol like candy and it takes the edge off but comes back so bad.
