Annabelle was born on 10/9, and now that I finally have a minute I'm going to tell you all my birth story and updates on her 😊

On last Thursday, 10/4, I went to my 36 week appointment. I got checked and was at 4 cm dilated 80% effaced. I went home, started having contractions that night. They were 5-7 minutes apart. I lost what I think was my mucus plug. It had some blood in it. I kept on having contractions through the night and the next day. On Saturday the contractions went to 2 minutes apart. So we went to the hospital. They monitored my contractions and because they weren't changing my cervix, we got sent home. I had a very restless night, but tried to sleep. On Sunday they still wouldn't let up and the horrible cramping began. I lost some more plug with blood. We went to a family cook out and I tried to relax.

The next day, Monday 10/8, I had a non stress test appointment. During the nst they noticed the baby's heart rate was dropping with every contraction. So I got sent to triage and for an ultrasound to check on baby and make sure everything was ok.

While in triage my contractions got closer and more intense. The nurse checked me and I was still at a 4. I got the ultrasound done and everything was fine. I went back to triage and the nurse checked me again. Still a 4, but I was effaced a tad bit more. I also had protein in my urine, elevated blood pressure, and swelling in my feet. So I was admitted for observation, and then they decided to induce me. I ate some dinner and then By that time my contractions were horrible and all over the place, so they started pitocin.

The pitocin was actually more calm than my own contractions and I was able to relax a little 😂 After they bumped up the level of pitocin I decided I had been in pain since Thursday and I was ready for a break! I got my epidural and was able to fall asleep. They woke me to break my water at 6 PM. I went back to sleep off and on, woke up to be checked at 9 and I was at a 5 and 90% effaced. I tried to relax and stay calm. At 12:55 am I was checked again and was at a 7 and still 90% effaced. Well after the nurse left I felt a ton of pressure and called her back in. She made a joke about baby's being born under the blanket and the mom not even realizing it. She lifted the blanket to check me and started yelling "we have a head!!" The midwife ran in super fast. I started laughing because I couldn't believe it and at 1:07 AM on 10/9/18 Annabelle Faith was born from me laughing 😂😂 I had no stitches and it was the easiest birth ever! She was able to stay on me for 2 hours, but then started to grunt and breathe heavily. She got taken to the NICU and is still there today. But she got her cpap off today and has started nursing! She should be home soon!

Now here's some pictures!
