When losing your virginity, I definitely recommend foreplay, it will help your vagina lubricate itself. Fingering can be part of foreplay, however, if your vagina is not lubricated, this can still hurt. You should talk with your significant other and let him know your concerns. Make sure you take it slow at first. 
It is going to be uncomfortable no matter what.. I have this issue every time my boyfriend and I have intercourse. It’s just how some women’s vaginas are. Some are naturally very tight.

Just go for sex (IF YOU'RE READY). It may hurt, it may not. Depends on your body. You have to be ready tho because if you're tense (since your wall is a type of mucle) it will hurt and be "tight" in a way because its clenching/retracting. You need to be relaxed and turned on. Have him go slow and use some lube. Over time for me, sex got better. You just need to learn your body and feel comfortable in your position.
