How to deal with body image/weight issues
I wrote this in another thread but I see many like it. I just wanted to share this.
I take this seriously. I used to think I wasn’t good enough to be loved, accepted, and do what I wanted because people didn’t treat me and my body with empathy, respect and kindness. I followed suit, abusing my body in various ways. I saw things clearly and realized that my thoughts weren’t working.
This applies to so many things, but body image and weight issues especially. The thought processes will come back, but if you employ the right tools, you will start to understand yourself better and cope with old habits. If you’re feeling this way, you are not alone, and it’s a long journey, but a worthwhile one.
