I’ve known this man for about 1.5 years. He always wanted to hang out but I unintentionally blew him off because I was getting over an ex. Fast forward to this September. He messaged me and started talking to me again and I visited him. He works 4 hrs away from me as pipeliner. But lives only about 45 mins away from me. He’s 31. I’m 22. He is a totally different person when in person and on phone versus text. Long story short he’s been getting closer to me physically every time I visit. Such as insisting on holding my hand, cuddling etc. I’m use to hearing from him every 1-2 days. Which was fine. But this is where it gets odd. I left and came home last Friday morning and when he got off work, he called to tell me that when he got back and realized I had left that he wished I was still there and that next time I need to stay longer. Then Sunday he calls again and said he’d be workin closer soon so I could see him more and that he’d be only an hour away. Starting in 2 weeks. He asked if I was more comfortable around him and I said yes and that the only way I’d go backwards is if I went 2 or so weeks without seeing him. As in how I’m shy and nervous. He said “we can’t be having that can we”. He proceeds to say I should surprise him this week by showing up without announcing. I said maybe and the convo ended. An hour later he texts to say he’d made it there and I told him when I come visit depends on when he wants me to and how long he wants me there. He read it. And DID NOT respond. So all week long he’d been liking my comments or my stuff online but no texts. No communication other than that. I gave him his space and texted last night to be careful going home for the weekend. I got two texts saying “working tomorrow” I said I’m sorry that sounds awful. He replied with “it is” and then I said it may not be that bad and the convo ended. I’ve been given two different possibilities which are that 1 I’m being played which is possible or 2. He’s scared to get close. Which would explain why he got so close and then distanced. Am I crazy? Is this me over reacting like usual or am I right to think this is weird🤔
