I clean rental cabins for a couple and the last rental was a few weeks ago(about 3-4 weeks) I cleaned the cabin to my check list the wife has me do(3 page check list..) and they’ve been in and out the cabins several times in those weeks but randomly called my husband(instead of me..?) and told him they didn’t want to hurt my feelings but the cabins just didnt seem very clean 😳

After a month of sitting with them going in and out of them? And them seeing the cabins the next day after I cleaned and writing my check saying “the cabins look great!!”

They are supposed to be coming by tomorrow and I’m just not sure what to say to them. They’ve added and added to my to do list and I’ve bent over backwards to please them and now suddenly they feel I’m not doing a good job 🤔

The wife has obsessively added every detail to my list. I have to WASH the outside windows everytime I clean with a water hose.. wash off the deck with the hose on top of everything inside the house.

Instead of buying me a good vacuum they gave me their old one that doesnt have the handle stick and you have to bend over to use it 🙄 the wife noticed one day the rug didn’t come super clean after I told her it wasn’t working well and she wants me to pull out all the area rugs and hit them against the porch to dust them off everytime I clean 😂

They also informed my husband that I can no longer clean with vinegar because they don’t feel like it cleans and bought me Clorox to clean the whole cabin with 🙄

I don’t know if I should just agree to clean the cabins again for them to make them happier or tell them I need more money if they want more cleaning done.. or just quit 🤷🏼‍♀️

My mother in law is a maid for several people and laughed and then got furious that they’re only paying me $50 and expecting a DEEP clean every single clean. Her base pay is $60 regardless of if she’s just going to the house to dust and sweep that day.
