Thoughts on delayed cord clamping?

Was thinking about DCC. Has anyone done it? What are the pros and cons to DCC?

From everything I’ve read it seems to offer a lot of benefits and we plan to also DCC.

Pros- high blood volume, less likely to be anemic, high birth weight, less likely to get sick, better temp control.
Cons- could cause jaundice, but that’s minor and light therapy will be all that’s needed to fix it term baby’s mostly correct themselves. 
I’m doing dcc I’m a doula so I’m all for it and even helps premies as far as brain bleeds and less likely to need a blood transfusion and temperature control.

Absolutely do it, it should be standard practice! It shouldn’t be clamped until almost all of the blood has gotten to baby. Babies are tiny and that little extra bit of blood can really help them. We plan on doing it for sure
