How to clean pack and play?

A friend gave us a used pack and play and it has a slight smell to it. How can i clean it? Soak it in the bath tub?

We soaked ours in the tub with vinegar and baking soda. It looks and smells so much nicer

Look up how to strip one. I’m unsure of the amounts but you can put it in a bath with borax or calgon for a deep strip. There’s also an amazing product called Mighty Bubbles on amazon (made by grovia). I cloth diaper and this is what everyone recommends for stripping those. I’ve seen so many moms use the same method on secondhand clothes and pack n plays and end up with almost brown water! Even after the surface has been cleaned or washed with regular detergent.

There are a lot of different ideas on Pinterest, but the bathtub idea is really popular - my mother-in-law had a hand me down one she soaked in the tub with OxyClean and it came out much cleaner than I expected! I would soak it closed for a while first and then open it up as much as you can and let it soak again.
