Potty training?

Question

My almost 17 month old has been saying poop every time he poops or is trying to poop and has started to try and pull his diaper off. This is extremely early I feel like but is anyone else thinking of starting? What is your plan?

My baby started potty training on his own. At first he would tell us popo whe  he was pooped. And now he tells me before hand and I take him to his potty and he goes! He is 17 months!

It’s never too early. I would introduce it and try when he wants, and praise, but I wouldn’t force it.

I actually started at 13 months she go soon as she get up n throughout day daycare won’t potty train until next month which is nerve racking but I have potty panties n all (there the cutest things) but if he’s ready go for it

I don't ever think it's 'too early,' as some countries and parents practice elimination communication, so it's possible to be potty trained before a baby is 1 (albeit tougher).
But your little boy is displaying signs that he's ready, so I'd go with it. Read up on it, prepare him, and be prepared for regressions, but as long as you're patient and can explain stuff to him, you guys got this!! Go, Mama!

We’ve introduced Jojo to the toilet. He watches us go on the potty and gets super curious, so we’ve put him on the potty a few times. He’s not quite ready, but it helps satisfy his curiosity and his need to be like mommy and daddy.
