lower abdomen pain

I'm 24 weeks and 4 days and all today my lower abdomen has hurt. It's like cramping and hurts to get up from bed. if I move my leg up to itch for example it hurts too. is this normal? I'm thinking maybe my stomach is just stretching or something. it feels like the baby is so heavy and just sitting way down there.
