Where is your focus?

I've been reading a lot of posts on this group about what is or isn't a sin. I've seen responses with scripture & some judgmental undertones in opinion.

If you believe Jesus died for our sins & you believe he resurrected, why are you still focused on the laws? The commandments no man on earth could fulfill so he came to fulfill them & free us from.

Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to ---->fulfill.<-------

God doesn't love anyone less for not following the "rulebook" religion set out to control people. But really He is looking at the condition of the heart. Believers & non-believers alike.

Sin is literally not a factor as every single person is a sinner. A sinner with their thoughts, actions, words, anger, doubt.. etc. We are called to be Holy which only means separated for Him. It doesn't mean self righteous, it doesn't mean better than.

Condemning or judging someone for "sin" when He died for it, & He paid the price. He paid it so we wouldn't have to.

No where in His word does it say you have to earn it. If you pray 5 times a day & read the Bible 3 times a day you earned a spot in heaven. You have to dress like a nun to be Holy. You have to physically go to church daily to be considered holy. What's the point of all of the religiousness when you cannot show love for your neighbor? How can we preach or witness to others with debate & self righteousness?

I'm just tired of religion. I believe in following Christ & that relationship being so individual with Him that it doesn't look like anyone else's relationship with Him. That's why I don't judge anyone for sinning differently than me. That's why I don't treat people differently for making different life choices.

& I get so upset that people are turned off to the idea of Christianity & following Christ because of the negative image created by organized religion. I get so upset that someone who believes in Jesus could ever turn away a soul in need, someone desperately needing understanding & kindness! Sometimes we just need to listen, ask God for the right words to say to others & say it with LOVE!

I say all of this, as a pastors kid. I've seen it all, been through it all & I know God is still GOOD! Coming out of religion & into relationship has been the most liberating decision of my life. God has blessed me beyond measure for being open to a one on one relationship with HIM! Not living by an imaginary law but by the grace & freedom He died for me to have.

If you've experienced church hurt, judgement, rejection, condemnation.. amongst them, feeling unloved, please feel free to message me. If you want to know about the loving God & how He really feels about you, message me.

If you don't believe in anything I've said, that's ok too. Much love & respect to all who took the time to read. 🙏🏾💕✌🏾
