Crying over spilt milk

FTM, and I’m exhausted. I have a two week old who decided she was going to cry for three hours (not solid, just whenever i put her down when I thought she was finally asleep).

Husband is trying to sleep it’s his first day back to work tomorrow and he goes in at 4am. Finally get the baby to sleep, I start to pump. I finish and I thought I had the bottle screwed on to the pump parts. Nope. I just spilt an entire bottle of fresh pumped breast milk.

It happened 20 mins ago and I’m still crying. Yes I can pump more, yes I still have the bottle from the right. But it’s just been one of those days, and I feel like I’m failing at being a mom.

Here’s to hoping tomorrow is just a little bit better. And that I’ll never forget to make sure the bottles are screwed on tight.
