safe skincare for melasma??💆‍♀️🤰

Anyone has recommendations of pregnant safe products for melasma ?? I been dealing with that prior pregnancy and I'm afraid it will get worse with time. I'm barely 5 weeks.

Always wear a sunscreen with zinc oxide, even if you’re not planning to be outside. I use one called “Thinkbaby” which is actually meant for kids, but it’s perfect for adult skin because it uses safe botanical ingredients and smells amazing! They have a face version that’s slightly tinted if you don’t want to use a white sunscreen on your face. For a face wash, toner, serum and moisturizer look for products rich in vitamin c. The brand Yuri Pibu has a parsley line of products which would be great for you because parsley is known for its high vitamin c content. I personally use the parsley moisturizer cream, but there’s a parsley toner that’s pretty amazing for hyperpigmentation too. Liz K first C serum is also pretty great for hyperpigmentation because it has a potent form of vitamin c just for that concern. As a bonus, these products also help to control blemishes naturally! I buy all of my products from glowrecipe.com, but I think you can buy some of the ones I mentioned at Sephora since they’re a partner with Glow recipe. I buy my sunscreen on Amazon.

These products are all amazing, but sunscreen and hats really are your best friend. I developed horrible melasma on my forehead when I was on birth control on a trip to Anguilla, but it went away after about a year of using hats outside and strong sunscreen after I finally went off birth control. I started using potent vitamin c serum (like the one above), which also helped I think. I was terrified that my melasma would come back when I got pregnant, but I started using really good skincare and sunscreen so it didn’t come back! 🙌
