VBAC or C-section?

Question

If you've previously had a c-section are you planning on a VBAC or c-section with this pregnancy? And why? I'm having such a hard time deciding what I should do 😕

First was a emergency c-section. Second was a failed vbac. Called for c-section after 12 hours of being in labor. I was induced. Turns out I had a tumor so  i truley believe God played a role there and believe thats what caused my bleeding during my pregnancy too.

Baby 3 will be c-section as well. My doctor will only let me try a vbac under certain conditions and it just isn't likely to occur.

I bounce back quickly from c-sections and hopefully will this time around as well. Waiting formy doc to just let me schedule it already so I will know date for sure!

I haven't had a c-section, but let me tell you ladies, vaginal birth can be just as painful if not more for recovery. I had a 3rd degree tear and it took me weeks to recover from that as well. So vaginal doesn't always mean an easier recovery.

VBAC. I hated the post surgery recovery. Getting out of bed was painful for weeks, and of course I had to get out of bed MANY times every night.

I had a hard time recovering from my first c-section, and my doctor and hospital are very supportive and prepared for vbac, so I am planning to try for a one.   I've been doing a lot reading though and I'm always interested if others have reading recommendations.

My first birth was 24 hours of labor that ended in a c section.  Only at my
Post partum visit did they tell me I have a narrow pelvic bone.  I'm set up right now for a vbac if I go into labor before my due date, but I think I'm just going to schedule a c section.  I don't want to go through 24 or more hours of labor again just to have an inevitable c section 😕

Read the book Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth to really make an informed decision on your choices available to you. With each cesarean you create more scar tissue which makes each birth more dangerous. So a vbac is less  dangerous and even if you rip which I have 3 times it heals in less than a week if you take care of it. And in a week I was up and about no problem. I would hate having to heal from major surgery with a newborn and another child to take care of.

I'm doing a repeat section my doctor us more comfortable with that than attempting vbac due to medical issues

Going to try for vbac, will do c-section if necessary. Had a c-section after undulations last time that ended terribly and painfully. Would choose c-section over inducing, though.
