Hi guys can someone tell me what to expect at my first midwife appointment?

I went to the docs yesterday to confirm and I will be 4 weeks tomorrow. She told me to book an appointment for when I’m 8 weeks to see the midwife- this is my first pregnancy. What can I expect? Thanks x

You fill in your green notes(medical history of yourself and partner) they give you form for blood tests and ask for urine sample, also you have a carbon dioxide test to see if you smoke. Take your blood pressure height and weight. And then they send off referral to have your 12wks scan you should get a appointment in the post. Not much goes on with 8wk appointment just paperwork. 😊
