My husband and I haven’t used protection in nearly 5 years not that we’ve been trying I’m just curious if something is wrong or has anyone just gotten pregnant after something like that? Also he smokes and drinks a lot I just drink wine some

If you want to get Pregnant make a conscious effort to try, tracking your ovulation etc and see what happens. 
You could have sex several times a day, unprotected but if it’s not at the right time when you’re ovulating it will make no difference at all.

I tried 12 years no protection never got pregnant with my ex then now I’ve been with my current SO for 4 years and finally just had my baby so it’s possible. Never used protection with my now SO so took nearly 4 years for us and 12 years for me in total. I did go and get a test done to see if my tubes were clear though and I actually got pregnant right after that test
