GENDER???

My friend found out the gender of her baby through her tests at 12 weeks. I’m 13 weeks & was curious if it was the test that they do for Down syndrome? If that’s the case do I ask about it when they call for the results?

Panorama did test for gender but I had to give consent. Yes, that is the one for Down syndrome. Not sure about other companies.

My testing didn't tell me gender results. Apparently the one that does (at least for my doctor) is only performed if you're a high risk pregnancy

I did the panorama blood test, I was 12 weeks when I did it, I am now 14 and just found out it’s a girl 🎀

Not all Down syndrome tests will tell you the sex of the baby. I get the standard blood test that insurance covers and it doesn’t tell you the sex. It’s a test you have to request and be prepared for the insurance to not pay unless you have a family history or over 35.

Yes that blood test can tell you because they are testing the chromosomes of the fetal blood within your blood.
