Hey I’m getting the gastric sleeve next month any tips or anything like that I’m a little nervous

Did you have any lifting restrictions after surgery? How long was your recovery?

Im 6 months out best decision ever.. my advice is walk walk walk or the gas will hurt.  I walked as much as I could the day of surgery and was out the next day took pain pills for 2 days total.  Im 86+ lb down now.   Only worry I have is I just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow. My doctor said I will be fine and may continue to lose weight during this time just to eat healthy and more often

I got mine done June 5th this year. Best decision ever. The gas pain isn’t as bad as I thought. I was up and walking around the same day. The only thing I’m trying to get use to is not gulping my water. Protein is extremely important! I can’t stress that enough. Exercise is important! I started at 90kg and I’m down to 73kg I’m losing it slower which I prefer but I did expect to lose it quickly but my surgeon said because I was a lower bmi to start with I wouldn’t loose as quick. My surgeons goal weight for me is 50kg my personal goal weight is 65kg. Don’t over eat if you do you will literally just throw it up or throw up stomach acid. I’m happy to answer any questions or if you want someone to talk to about it too
