Want to get on Birth Control but how ?

so i’m 15, and i would like to get on birth control without my parents knowing. but my acne is under control, i’m happy with my weight, and my period is regular. i don’t want birth control to mess any of these things up. BUT i would like to be extra safe having sex. Should i get on birth control? How much is it (i don’t want to use my parents’ insurance)? And if so how do I get it?

Honestly.. you need to just talk to your parents. I was 15 when I started having sex. I actually called my mom right after and they got me put on birth control right away. I’m now 21, married to the same guy I lost my virginity to and have two little girls.
I will raise them to know that if they have sex young I won’t be happy about it but I would at least want them to come to me and talk to me about it. Honesty is the best thing my girls could ever give me and I would rather them come ask me for birth control than be too scared and end up pregnant. So just talk to your parents.

Keep in mind that only condoms will protect you against sexually transmitted infections/diseases, and no method is 100% effective.
That said, I started having sex at 17, and used both the pill and condoms to be extra safe in both realms (preg/std). My mom was happy to bring me to the doc when I was 16 to talk about birth control. It may be worth it to talk to a parent first. I also got the HPV vaccine as well.
I’m pretty sure that by law, doctors can’t share your health information—especially sexual health information with ANYONE unless they believe you’re being abused. 
Our pediatrician, starting at a certain age, routinely takes a moment alone with preteens to talk about anything they might be too uncomfortable bringing up in front of their parents. You’re entitled by law to be able to talk to the doctor alone.

You should really just be open with your parents. Talk to them, then make an appointment. They should know because the complications and side effects birth control can have.

If you have a teen clinic or a planned parenthood you can go in there and they can talk over options with you but there’s not a guarantee those things you mentioned won’t change. The best option I THINK would be a non hormonal / copper IUD as it doesn’t block with hormones which could effect acne/periods/weight.
