So I’m 16 and my bf is 18 he is 1 year 3 months older than me. I’m a junior in high school and he is a senior. Quite a few people say the age gap is weird and creepy. Both of our parents are fine with us dating. Is it a creepy age gap?

no. I was 14 and my boyfriend was 16 going on 17. THATS a difference because when we got together he was a week away from 17. Honestly the age difference was okay with me just i feel like it kind of made me move faster. Like I lost my virginity to him at 16. Moved in together at 18. Now he’s 23 and I’m 20 and Im glad i didnt let what people say tear us apart ☺️ You’re fine. If you’re happy then who cares about the age difference. Good Luck🤞🏽

No it isn't bad at all. When my boyfriend and I got together I was 16 and he was 26. I am now 18 and he is 28. People told us that it was weird for us to be together but we are so happy together and he treats me so well. I really couldn't be happier. We are talking about getting engaged in the next couple of years and I really can't wait

No. I met my now husband when I was a sophomore in high school and he was a senior. We dated all through the rest of my high school years, even while he was in college.

The only issue I see is that he's an adult and you're currently still a minor/a child in the eyes of the law. That's probably the only reason people find it weird! I personally wouldn't date someone 18 or over as a minor but if you're happy with him then do what you want!
