Which is the best type of Birth Control?

I will be getting on Birth Control for the first time and I am trying to decide what I want. I want a birth control where I DO NOT gain weight like crazy or have crazy heavy periods. I hear the IUDs and Nexplanon works. Is there any other good method besides the pill, IUDs, nexplanon?
