7 week old sleeping longer... will going 7-8hr at night decrease my supply??
I breast feed my 7 week old daughter on demand in daytime and some times it is every hour or every 2.5hr... I just been alternating putting her on my boob 👍🏼👍🏼 she nurses 10-15 min (I alternate sides) and baby is gaining weight like a champ.
I pump only once in morning (after feeding LO) only to relieve the hardness and I get 7-9oz total between both breasts. (This is only time I pump and I have a great freezer stash of 4-5 oz bags!)
We also give baby one 3 or 4oz bottle of my milk around bedtime and are getting almost 7hr stretch of sleep. This is only bottle she gets a day but she has takes them well. (She will need to at daycare in 5 more weeks)👍🏼
This long stretch is just at night, but will my supply be okay?! I go back to work at 12 weeks and plan to pump maybe every 2.5hr but we will see how baby is doing closer to then.
I feel I have a great supply and don’t want to lose it because she’s getting to be a longer sleeper!!
TIA!!
