How does maternity leave work for salaried employees? (Please read details)

I figured asking on this forum was worth a shot and some of you may have experience with it. I am currently a salaried Sr. Supervisor for a tech company, I do not clock in or out and can technically come and go as I please throughout the day (I can show up late and leave early as well as work from home via laptop if I choose) without being docked pay. My paychecks are always the same amount no matter what. I accrue and use PTO if I plan to take time off. Has anyone else had experience with non-hourly pay based jobs and maternity leave?
