Water with Evap line test? Did it work?

So the test where you take the HCG test if you can’t tell if it’s a EVAP or a BFP.. I read that when you drop a few drops of water where your pee went if it was an EVAP the line will disappear, and if it’s really a BFP the color and line will stay. Has this worked?

I took a test and forgot about it, when I went back about an hour later there is a distinct bright pink line (.88 cent one) I can’t tell if it’s EVAP or possibly BFP.

Now that its dried I want to try this out but want to know if it was true for you?
