Membrane strip?

What are y’alls thoughts on a membrane strip? Is it worth it? How long does it take to go into labor?

I had membranes stripped at 39 week appt. At 39 weeks, 6 days, I went into labor on my own in the middle of the night. He came the day before his due date. I was already about 70% effaced and 1.5cm dilated at the 39 week appt. I would say as long as your cervix is ready and ripening, you should have good success.

I got it done at my 39 week appt at around 11am. As soon as I left the docs office I started having contractions. I went into labor that afternoon. I'm planning on having it done with this pregnancy too, hopefully it works again.

It did not work with my daughter. I was 4 cm dilated and 75 % effaced with her for 2 weeks before gong in to labor. I had a version done at 37 and 5, that same day my doctor stripped my membranes and I went in to labor at 38 and 3 five days later
