Pregnancy test after miscarriage?

When after the bleeding stops should I take a pregnancy test to make sure I'm not pregnant anymore? Or will my dr do some tests afterwards to make sure I'm not anymore?

My Dr. had me go in weekly after my MC until the HCG dropped to 5 or below.

I just had one, still going through it, was only a couple weeks along.  I went to the doc the first time last staturday.  They said my hcg level was 5.  The next day or Monday I did a HPT and it was BFN.  This is my 2nd MC this year.  ?. One in jan, and now.  The one in jan I could bare the thought of passing it at home and flushing the baby... So I had a d$c after 3 test confirmed my hcg kept dropping.

​They told me to go get my hcg checked... But I didn't want to go through all that again, so I never did I didn't want to go through that again.

​Last time bleeding stopped 5 or so days later.   This time I'm still bleeding but it's dark and a light flow now.  Hopefully I stop bleeding in the next day or two.

My doc had me come in once the bleeding stopped and checked my hcg. It was under 5, so that's all they needed. If it was still over 5 they would've had me come back for another blood test a week later.

After my two miscarriages I was told to take a preganancy test 3 weeks after bleeding stopped. I had bfp until 2.5 weeks after bleed stopped both times.

I've always been told to test 2weeks after bleeding had stopped if it was still positive to phone epu so they could 'investigate'

Your doctor should track your hcg to make sure it goes to zero. Depending on how far you were it may take several weeks.

After my chemical I took a few tests to make sure nothing showed up then went from there in regards to trying again. Good luck and best wishes xx
