I love the country (Japan) but it’s rough looking so different from the locals so people react quite extremely towards us (ring our doorbell and run, take pictures from their cars, follow us, walk on the opposite side of the street, point and giggle, etc). I’m almost done with my PhD so I’m looking forward to new beginnings elsewhere.
