Males at baby shower?

Question

So where I am from baby showers is where women get together... 
The more I think about it I kind of want my husband with because its our first child and I think it would be fun to have both of us there with our families. I just feel like it will create an uproar due to "breaking the tradition" of showers..
What do you think? Did you have any men at your shower? Did it go well? 
If you didn't did the father feel left out at all?

I had my partner, brother, dad as well as a few of my partner and I’s good male friends, and my close friends partners at my baby shower. It’s what you want it to be, screw whatever tradition you’re meant to live up too.

I’d never heard of women-only baby showers until I downloaded this app 😐 I mean, your partner was involved in the conception of said baby, so why would you not even include him in an activity to celebrate your baby?

Where i’m from, most showers are « coed » . The baby is not only the wonen, he/she also have a dad.. why exclude them?

If I ever got pregnant it’d be a coed shower if we decided to have one. Idk who the hell started this women only tradition to me it makes no sense as the woman AND man were responsible for creating this child and they should both celebrate the child together. Also on another note how awkward to have a bunch of women who barely or don’t at all know each other awkwardly making small talk for hours 😂

My hubby and my moms husband will be there (my dad will be out of town or he would be the one there with hubby). We're going to need help moving tables and I want hubby there to open presents with me. I'm extremely awkward when I'm the center of attention so I felt like it would make me a little less uncomfortable. Also his God mother likes to argue with me over every little thing shes not happy with so it's kinda a safety net so I dont have to deal with that stress. I know some people find it odd that there will be guys there but oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️

My cousins hubby was at mine because we live in RI, they live in MA and only had one car. He wasn’t going to drive back and forth lol. My hubby came when there was about 45 mins left. That way he got to eat, enjoy some cake, and visit and say thanks. 
I say to hell with tradition and do what makes you happy. We’ve also been to a few jack and Jill’s and those were super fun!

I'm having a Baby-Q with males at mine. It takes two to make a baby so I want my partner to be involved and included. Plus I think he should be there to open presents 😊

It's up to you and your partner not everyone else. It's becoming normal for men to be there as it's both parents child rather than just the mothers and other reasons too. Even if people disagree I dont think people will say anything on such a special celebration anyway. Hopefully you find the confidence to do it your way

Ours was like a regular party/family get together. There were some baby games but all participated. We opened gifts but didn’t ohh and awww...too long. We took pictures with family members then turned on the football game. It was fun and everyone had a great time. It doesn’t have to be a all girl affair if you don’t want it to be.

Mine is all women, but my hubby will come at the end just to say hi and thank everyone for coming and for the gifts
