What age did your child reach 40lbs?

Trying to figure out what age most kids reach the 40lb rear facing limit that most car seats have. 
I’m aware that some seats have higher limits but the seats that I’ve narrowed it down to are 40 which why I’m looking for this number.

My 2.5 year old is 33 lbs. She was 30 lbs at her 2 year appointment.

Some may reach the height limit before the weight limit. But most 40lb car seats will get your child to age 3-4 before they reach the limit they have to be turned around.

The average 4 year old weighs about 40 pounds and is around 40” tall. Many 5-6 year olds could be under 40lbs, but too tall for rear facing (based on the seats height limit). Remember with car seats it’s always max height OR weight whichever comes first.
