Are you planning on being child free forever?

Question

Okay so my society is your very typical, you get married and have kids type. I always thought I would have birthed all my kids by now at 30 but here I am 5 years into our marriage and we are not planning on having kids any time soon. Sometimes I think about it but I don’t know if it’s my thoughts or societal norms speaking. Let’s talk about this topic. Why are you child free and do you think you will stay that way till you die and have no regrets

I'm childfree because I don't like kids and literally everything about them from pregnancy till 18 years old sounds horrible to me. Oh and I'd rather spend my money travelling and doing what I want when I want without worrying about a kid. I'm going to get sterilized soon, just need to save a little more money. Going to get my tubes completely removed, no chance of reversal and no chance of pregnancy!

Every thought about having children is society related, because it starts with the idea of procreation of humanity. What is totally absurd by now when you realize that we’re overpopulated. Every single species in nature tries to maintain a balance, but we do the opposite and choose to think that it is our responsibility or duty to have children. 
And lately I’m thinking that not every woman is born with this “mother instinct”. I mean how many women have post partum depression?! Or women who maybe love their children but they frankly say that they regret having them. These are maybe women who never had the “mother gene” but felt someway forced to have children. 
And for myself I just realized that as the oldest child I was some sort of mother to my siblings. So I have no (more) interest of having somebody who depends on me and to be needed. I really felt trapped when I “raised” my brother and sisters. And I still am! I really care for them and want their safety and happiness. Until today I act as a parent to them. 
In that way I did my part and I’m pretty sure that I don’t want kids! And neither does my partner who I’ve been with for over 12 years.
