Getting my tubes tied?

So I have a daughter from a previous relationship. She will be just under two when my son is born. My mom wants me to get my tubes tied because she says she doesn’t think I need more children after two. Now mind you , my daughter was planned after six years together with her father. While I was pregnant he cheated as we split shortly after she was born when I found out it was with my bestfriend. My current boyfriend and I have been together a year and this baby wasn’t planned but we both couldn’t be happier and it had actually made us closer. My mother thinks this is enough children for me and says she can’t stand me when I’m pregnant because I am bipolar and I refuse medication while pregnant. She had me believing I should get the procedure. My boyfriend says he thinks I shouldn’t. He says we might want more some day. We are both still young. I’m 24 he is 26. He says I might regret it. I don’t know what I should do in this situation. Any one else considering this option?

Don’t listen your mother. Your life your choice sweetie. Imagine if you want more babies, you’ll regret it ..

First of all, this is your body and your life. No one makes that decision but you, no matter how they feel about you or how many children you have. If you want the procedure go for it but if you’re unsure I’d hold off, there are less invasive ways to prevent pregnancy. 
I’m having my tubes tied while I’m in for my c section but this is my fourth baby and the third time I’ve gotten pregnant on birth control. Good luck to you. 🤗

None of your mothers business what so ever. I also doubt they will tie your tubes as you are so young and in your prime years.

Only do it if YOU want your tubes tied and are 100% sure that’s what you want. Don’t do it for your mom-not her body not her decision

Why are you even worried about what your mom wants in this situation? Nobody in your life but you and MAYBE your partner should decide what you do with your fertility. Your mother shouldn’t even have a comment to say about how many kids you have unless she has to raise them.

Idk about where you live but here in ohio they wont tie your tubes if youre under 25...if your mom doesnt like you when your pregnant then just take a 9 month vacation from her while youre pregnant lol that decision should be btwn you and your SO...period

I would say if your not sure then don’t do it. They’re are so many other forms of birth control that aren’t permeant maybe ask your ob about those options.

My boyfriend says I’ll regret it if I do it. He knows how I am and how much I love being a mom. He’s like by time I’m 28 my my daughter will be in the first grade and he thinks I’ll want another one then.  Plus he said he’s not ready to rule out the possibility of another baby just yet. I’m leaning towards maybe going on a birth control. I can’t use the pill, it messes me up really bad. So what other methods could I use ?

I wouldn't. 24 is too young. You never know you and your bf might get married and want more kids. Some Dr's so t do it at such a young age either. At 26 I wanted to do it but my Dr said no I was too young (mind you I had three kids by then) but I'm glad I didn't because that marriage fell apart and several years later I got remarried and now I am 26 weeks pregnant with our baby girl and almost 35.
