Spectra S1 or S2 and why?

I’m down to choosing between Spectras. Your thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

If your insurance covers the S1 or you’re willing to pay a little more, it definitely worth it. I have the S2 and it’s sometimes a pain having to be within a few feet of an outlet to be able to pump

S1 because it has a rechargeable battery. Our “pumping room” at work is an old closet without an outlet. Plus, I didn’t want to be stuck needing a power source. More than once I pumped in the car while on a long trip.

I have the S2 and have been pumping exclusively since my son was born nearly 12 weeks ago. I’ve not had any issues with not having a battery back. I would suggest investing in the car adapter though. It cost about $10 on Amazon and has been a huge help for when I need to be out for extended periods of time and will need to pump while I’m out.

I just got a spectra S2 in the mail from my insurance just a day or two ago. It is the first automatic breast pump I have ever owned. My baby just started sleeping most of the night so I need to empty myself and this pump is amazing! I used it in the same room as my baby while my husband and baby sleep. It is so quiet and super easy to clean. It also has a night light so you can see what you are doing without disturbing everyone. I imagine the S1 is good as well. I think the difference is the S1 can be battery operated. I’m not sure what other differences there are.

I have the s2. My friend has the s1 which was a decided I gotta factor for why I got the 2. The 1 is loud af. Like no joke. The 2 is wayyyyy more quite and has more options for pumping. They’re both good but I just can’t stand the noise.

I wanted an S1 because it has a rechargeable battery, but insurance only covered the S2 in full. Functionally they are the same pump, the only difference being that the S2 has to be plugged in.
