Confused 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am 2 days late and I am NEVER late & have been tracking my bbt the last month which is still high. I am traveling for work and away from my husband so I ran to cvs and bought a pregnancy test convinced I was and got all excited and then of course it said negative. Could I get a false negative after a missed period? Maybe the stress from work and traveling? Uggggggh.
