I had an IUD inserted on Friday afternoon (Kyleena). My doctor didn’t mention how long after insertion I should wait to have sex. I’m getting mixed answers from google and am not sure. I know the hormones aren’t effective for 7 day but I’m wondering if sex is ok if a condom is used. I’m going over to the guy I’ve been seeing’s place tonight and I don’t know if I can safely have sex with him. He’s rather, uh, well endowed if that makes a difference. I’m also not spotting anymore; I really only bled for a day.
